Those of you reading this, who know us well, will know that we just love it at our cabin. It has been a great place for us to work off life's stress', to have large family get-togethers and a wonderful place to wrap yourself up in nature. We had the chance to go to the cabin with my brother Rich and his wife Annette for one last trip before our mission to Africa, and it was bitter sweet for sure. We had a great time as Mother Nature cooperated quite nicely and we also had the chance to share many laughs and memories. We accomplished the exterior and interior winterizing process, since Brittney's husband Dan won't be back from Iraq until January, and the duty would have fallen to him. We know that family and friends will enjoy "Redgate" while we're gone, and that makes us very happy! We just ask that as those big 4 pound bass keep getting bigger, that you please leave a few for us to catch in the Fall of 2010.

The famous "Redgate"
"Chippy"
Nature's morning lace

The fence from the 'December to remember'
the boathouse... which is so much more
The placid side of Redgate pond

The long and winding road
Great place, fond memories and much to look forward to.

Dad, those are awesome pictures. They could be professional. I love the cabin, I just wish I could go more often. There have been a lot of great memories there that will never be forgotten. I am so glad you, mom, uncle rich and annette had such a fun relaxing weekend. It was very well deserved. Love you guys and can't wait to see you in 2 weeks!

Wow it looks so beautiful!!! And those are wonderful pictures!!!! Your new camera takes great pictures! I can't wait to see the pictures you will take in Africa!
WOW...it is beautiful there. Wish we could have made it there for a visit before moving to CA. Well, I guess there is always a vacation to New York/PA in 2010!
These pictures really are awesome. I have only been to the cabin a few times but I loved it when I was there. It is so nice to be able to get away and enjoy nature. I am glad that you all had a great time.
Great Pics- they bring nothing but great memories and wonderful thoughts of the future at Redgate. Thanks for crossing the t's and dotting the i's for me. When you return we'll have the laundry facility and the Plasma's kickin' in high gear.
The pictures are awesome! I felt like I was right there! The cabin is such a wonderful place filled with many memories. I am so blessed to be a part of it!
What a lovely post. I'm so glad we were able to visit you at Redgate. How nice that it's so close to our "home". That's one thing that brings me comfort in knowing that we'll still get to see you when you return from Africa (since you no longer own a home here in Berks County). What a nice little getaway before you depart.
Sure will miss you at the cabin. It looks so serene in these pictures - it makes me want to go right now. I hope we can maintain it up to your standards while you are away. We'll do our best. Won't be the same without you. Hopefully we'll have a set of rusty keys for you when you get back - don't expect the remote to work though.
What a wonderful post, what a wonderful family !! Reenie,it was great to see you.You both will be such outstanding missionaries. People will just look at you and see and feel your love for the Lord and each other. Our prayers will be with you every day.
What beautiful pictures, Jim! Your blog is already fun to read. We can't wait to hear all about South Africa from both you and Reenie...and the pictures will make it complete! Our prayers are with you! --The Kohrmans
Aunt Reenie,
I got Quinn's socks- all of them :) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We just love them. They really are SO cute. She likes to point to all of the colors )over and over and over again)
Love you both and hope that you are having fun!
Reenie
Helen passed on your e-mail about the blankets and capes for the new borns. It isn't that I wouldn't like to do it but I can't aford the shipping. I did go on line to providentliving.org and the church had new born kits that would give the new mothers a little more then the blanket an cap. I might be faster if you contacted Church Headquiters to get help.
